| World Environment Day |
 World Environment Day 2012 Gramalaya is organizing the World Environment Day at its NIWAS centre in a rural setting with the participation of women self-help group members, youths and elected representatives. The WED program will be conducted on June 5, 2012 which would be supported by WAVE - Women's Action for Village Empowerment, a women federation of members from 3500 women self-help groups. Successful women in the water, environment, sanitation and economic empowerment will share their experiences and success stories. The program cost is shared by the community themselves where Gramalaya will be the facilitator and extending co-ordination and co-operation to the women groups. People from more than 500 villages will be visiting the WED program events.
